Online Pomodoro Timer — Focus & Break Cycles
The Pomodoro Technique is a time-management method: work in focused blocks, take short breaks, and repeat. After several focus sessions, take a longer break before starting the next round. onetimer runs this rhythm in your browser — no install, no account.
Classic timing is 25 minutes of Focus, 5 minutes of Short break, and 15 minutes of Long break after four focus sessions. You can change every phase length, auto-start behavior, sounds, and optional background audio in Settings.
Add tasks with Pomodoro estimates to track progress through your day, or run without tasks when you only need the timer. Session state and settings are saved in your browser so you can return later.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the Pomodoro Technique?
- Work in timed Focus sessions separated by breaks. One completed Focus block is one pomodoro. After a set number of pomodoros (default four), take a Long break before the next round. Short breaks keep you from burning out; the long break helps you reset.
- Is this Pomodoro timer free?
- Yes. All Pomodoro features — phase timing, task list, sounds, and ambient audio — are free with no subscription.
- Can I change focus and break durations?
- Yes. Open Settings from the navigation gear icon to adjust Focus, Short break, Long break, pomodoros until long break, and auto-start toggles. Changes apply when you click OK.
- Do I need to add tasks?
- No. Pomodoro runs in no-task mode by default. Tasks are optional — use them when you want per-task Pomodoro estimates and progress tracking.
- How is Pomodoro different from the countdown Timer?
- The Timer module counts down a single duration once. Pomodoro alternates Focus and break phases in a repeating cycle with optional long breaks — built for sustained work sessions, not one-off countdowns.
- Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
- The timer runs while this tab stays open. Background tabs may be throttled on some devices — keep the tab active for reliable timing during a focus session.
